Graders are used in road work to provide a more subtle approach to levelling off and adding camber than can be achieved using heavier equipment. Graders are also used for snow removal, as well as for maintaining dirt and gravel roads. They have smaller blades and a lighter construction than dozers, and use wheels rather than tracks.
